Tips to make Good Quality Wine at Home

If we see back in theory, winemaking is very simple process. Juice from Fungus Grapes gives an environment which allows fermentation. This is a natural process which discovered by happily accident of thousands of years ago. Natural yeast will blow in the mind. And this will settle down bunche of the squashed grapes, from where juice was pooling in shaded bowl of rock. After process of fermenting, some passerby will stop and step down for taste.

From this onwards, process of winemaking will get refined, as you can now imagine, second point is environment should be carefully controlled, the point where winemaking will become both like art and science.

Now it will probably fall somewhere between curious stone age wanderer and modern vinter will be applied to artful science to the process. Now winemaking at home will require several parts of inexpensive equipments, a mess of patience and serious cleanliness. Tom Petty said that the wait is the hardest part.

  • Cover the primary fermentation bucket using a cloth, allow the must to ferment at least for one week to 10 days. Passing the days, fermentation will make froth to develop on the top and will sediment to fall at the bottom.

Part 2

  • Gently strain liquid to remove sediment and froth.

  • Run juice by a funnel to a sanitized glass secondary fermentation containers. Now fill to top to reduce amount of air which is reaching to the wine.

  • Fit containers using airlock.

  • Allow juice to ferment for the several weeks

  • Use plastic tube to pipe wine into the clean glass of secondary fermentation containers. Now again, purpose is to separate wine from sediment forms as wine ferments.

  • Continue pipe the wine off to the sediment periodically for the 2- months until wine run clearly.

 Part 3
  • Now run wine into the bottles, leaving the space for cork plus about half of inch of extra room.

  • Insert the corks.
